Small Business Saturday is on November 27th this year, and we want to encourage you to take the opportunity to do your holiday shopping with a small business instead of going big on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Before founding Glen’s, Danielle Vogel worked in government for ten years, as a policy adviser to both Democrats and Republicans in the House and Senate, as well as for the Department of Justice as an environmental litigator enforcing the Clean Air Act. Danielle also comes from a long line of grocers, stretching back four generations. To date, Glen’s has launched 90 sustainability focused food businesses, of which over 55 are woman-owned and nearly 20 were founded by people of color.
The store generates no food waste and nearly everything on the shelves is sourced locally. By growing relationships with producers, who treat their land, their animals and their ingredients with respect, Glen’s Garden Market is a truly active community center that we’re proud to support!

Bodo’s Bagels has served sandwiches, salads, and fresh baked NY Bagels since 1988. Locally owned and operated, they have three locations open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their bagels are made from scratch “in-house” every day at each location, and every step, from the mixing of dough to the baking, is done on-premises.
They follow a traditional all-natural recipe, with NO fats, preservatives, dairy or soy, and only use unbleached, unbromated flours. They boil their bagels just before baking because if they’re not boiled first, they’re not authentic “NY style.” Bodo’s bagels offers a variety of smear flavors and every bagel is whole wheat and affordable, starting at 90 cents for one or 80 cents each when you purchase a dozen or more.
